"Jeff Klein’s insightful book makes remarkable use of story and guided reflections to provide readers with insights on how to uncover one’s best self and help co-create businesses where everyone flourishes.”
~ John Mackey, Chairman and CEO, Whole Foods Market

Guided reflections and other exercises play a significant role in Working for Good: Making a Difference, While Making a Living. While many of the exercises are written reflections and others can easily be done while reading the book, many of them are perfectly suited to listen to and practce with your eyes closed.

Below you will find audio recordings of some of the 18 exercises in the book.

You will note that most exercises begin by tuning into the body and breath, which is a powerful way to connect with yourself and open physical and mental space to practice the exercises.

I am posting the exercises to make them available to readers who want to practice what they are reading and to others for whom the exercises may be their entry into the idea of Working for Good. As always, I welcome your feedback.
Opening to Awareness
This first exercise from Working for Good: Making a Difference, While Making a Living, assumes that you are holding the book (or any book) while you listen to the exercise. So, if you can, pick up a book before you begin to listen to the exercise! You can find this exercise on page 44, in Chapter Two - Awareness.
Tuning into Sensations - Body Sweeping
This exercise focuses our attention and awareness on body sensations and breath, through a technique called body sweeping. You can find this exercise on page 48, in Chapter Two - Awareness.
How do you feel
In this exercise we build on awareness of body sensations to tap into emotions. You can find this exercise on page 54, in Chapter Two - Awareness.
Observing Our Thoughts
Thoughts typically stream through our minds almost incessantly, often carrying us away. This exercise is designed to shine a light on your thoughts and to support you to let them pass through, without being pulled by them. You can find this exercise on page 60, in Chapter Two - Awareness.
Following a Process
Mindfulness is a profoundly useful tool. Over time it increases our ability to remain present in the face of strong distractions and intense challenges. Process meditation makes awareness more interactive, supporting us to move with awareness and produce results with great energy, focus, and speed. You can find this exercise on page 120, in Chapter Three - Embodiment.
Beyond Our Control
This exercise, entitled Beyond Our Control is from page 136 in Connection, chapter four of Working for Good: Making a Difference While Making a Living.
Deep Listening
This is a simple (though not necessarily easy) three step process to facilitate deep listening. Underlying each step is the key to connection—awareness. You can do this exercise with another person or by yourself. You can find this exercise on page 142, in chapter four - Connection.
Tuning In To Collaboration
This exercise, entitled Tuning Into Collaboration is from page 161 of Collaboration, chapter five chapter five of Working for Good: Making a Difference While Making a Living.
Experiencing Interdependence
This exercise, entitled Experiencing Interdependence is from page 192 of Integration, chapter six chapter five of Working for Good: Making a Difference While Making a Living.
