Welcome to Working for Good

Working for Good began as a series of teleseminars presented by the Global Nomad Group In 2006 sponsored by Peace Cerea and FLOW. In 2008 Working for Good founder Jeff Klein wrote Working for Good: Making a Difference While Making a Living, which Sounds True published in September 2009.

2010 opens with the birth of a new Working for Good business, which produces Cause Alliance Marketing campaigns that drive social and environmental change through multi-sector collaboration and multi-stakeholder engagement.

The Working for Good team is developing a new Working for Good web site, which will serve as home for the Working for Good campaigns. Please sign up for our newsletter if you would like us to keep you informed of developments.

Jeff Klein

As CEO + Activator of Working for Good, Jeff produces collaborative, multi-sector Cause Alliance Marketing programs that drive social and environmental change, while addressing the business objectives of alliance partners.

An enthusiastic practitioner and proponent of conscious business, Jeff was one of the visionaries and driving forces behind Private Music (a record company sold to BMG in 1996), the career of musician Yanni, the Spinning fitness program, Seeds of Change (the organic, open pollinated seed company), the ChiRunning fitness program, and FLOW, the nonprofit organization that gave rise to Conscious Capitalism, Accelerating Women Entrepreneurs™ and Peace Through Commerce. He has consulted for the Esalen Institute, the National Geographic Society, GlobalGiving, theInstituteofNoetic Sciences, and Peace Cereal, among others.

Jeff is passionate about connecting, collaborating, and facilitating people and processes to catalyze positive individual, social, and environmental change.

Jeff wrote his new book, Working for Good: Making a Difference While Making a Living, to support conscious entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, leaders, and change agents at work. He is a founding driector of Conscious Capitalism, Inc., an organization dedicated to liberating the entrepreneurial spirit for good - co-founded by John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods Market.
Co-founder and Director of Integration

Susan Hollingshead

As Co-founder and Director of Integration, Susan oversees Working for Good’s business operations and project coordination.

A serial entrepreneur focused on creating new markets for high social impact businesses,Susan spent 19 years in the brownfield redevelopment and environmental insurance business;as a co-founder of Renova Partners, the $500 million acquisition investment entity partneredwith Prudential Reality, and as co-founder and Managing Principal of LandBank, Inc., the country’sfirst brownfield redevelopment firm. Susan has been a frequent lecturer for the EPA, the AmericanBar Association various state bars, the ICSC, and other organizations focused on infill development. She is the author of numerous articles on environmental insurance and brownfields.

Prior to joining Working for Good, Susan served as Director of Business and CommunityDevelopment at B Lab supporting B Corporations, a new type of corporation which use thepower of business to create public benefit that meet comprehensive and transparent socialand environmental performance standards. Susan’s passion for social innovation and change and for leveraging the power of business for the greater good led her to Working for Good.
Co-founder and Director of Business Design

Velco Farina

As Co-founder and Director of Business Design, Velco uses his experience in business model transformation, change management, strategic assessment and market analysis to support Working for Good Companies.

Trained in Industrial Engineering and with MBAs from SDA Bocconi and UCLA, Velco spent the last ten years working in strategic planning, financial modeling and business and corporate development at McKinsey, Sapient, Bain and most recently American Express where he received the 2009 Chairman’s Award for Innovation. Embracing a new model for business, Velco’s background in traditional business consulting provides a platform in core practices. He assists Working for Good Companies as they integrate conscious business practices and engage their stakeholders to establish a more resilient and sustainable business ecosystems.

He brings the rich artistic tradition and passion of his Italian heritage and family to his work of developing companies as holistic systems.
Communications + Live Events Manager

Julie van Amerongen

Julie van Amerongen is a seasoned marketing professional whose passion is combining music, art and service. She has produced hundreds of cause-related events and has served as marketing manager for such strongly branded companies and programs as The Republic of Tea, Hearts of Space, The Everyone Orchestra and Peace Cereal's Celebrate Peace campaign. Julie spearheads an annual international service work program for musicians and their fans, as well as numerous donation drives. She is an advocate for urban farming, tends chickens in her backyard and takes having fun very seriously.
